We Did it, Joe!

Dear Resister,

After nearly a century of fighting and enduring four awful years of Trump’s presidency, we finally did it! The United States now has the most socialist elected officials in the White House – Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

With President Joe Biden’s leadership, our movement has officially won! Grassroots organizations no longer need to worry that the federal government won’t act in line with its constituents. We at Resist are overjoyed to call the federal government our comrade!

So what if the Biden administration is still deporting thousands of people and detaining children at the borders? The conditions are much more humane already, they’ve even given migrant detainees books, and he’s only been in office 70 days. So what if he conceded the $15 minimum wage process before it even began? Millions of Americans received $1,400 stimulus checks that helped solve all of their problems. And so what if the administration has continued waging war through the bombing of Syria? We trust that, given time, this administration will transform our country and eliminate the need for grassroots organizing entirely, ultimately moving forward with a progressive, socialist agenda.
So, as a way of honoring the gift that President Biden gave us, Resist has decided to transition our structure in a new and exciting way. Tune in tomorrow for an email describing our new vision and structure.
Here’s to finally building the new world with the help of our friends at the White House,

Resist Staff

p.s. Happy April Fool’s Day!!! We will NEVER support electoral politics over grassroots groups fighting on the ground for us every day no matter who is in the White House.
