The TTWAC mission is to build a frontline resistance camp that provides skill shares and empowerment to Two Spirit, Trans people and Womxn while taking direct action against the Line 3 pipeline.
The Line 3 pipeline is the largest Enbridge project proposed to date. It would transport tar sands oil from Alberta, Canada to Superior, WI, crossing Ojibwe territory as well as hundreds of watersheds. In addition to being the only camp set up and run entirely by TTW identifying folks, this is also the first camp set up directly on the proposed Line 3 pipeline route. Along with the Kinder Morgan pipeline and the Keystone XL pipeline, which are also facing major indigenous led resistance, halting Line 3 will have a major impact on fossil fuel infrastructure. We hope that this frontline resistance camp will leave a legacy telling the story of native and non native women, trans and two spirit folx that shut down a critical piece of fossil fuel structure while healing together and supporting each other.
